Andrea Martin

Andrea Martin has been seen in the feature films "New York Minute," "Bogus," "Wag the Dog," "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," "Stepping Out," "All Over the Guy," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," and "Cannibal Girls," for which she won the Best Actress Award at SITGES, the international horror film festival of Spain and "Black Christmas."

Martin co-starred in the television series "SCTV" for which she also won 2 Emmy Awards for writing and an Emmy nomination for Best Actress.  Her additional television credits include "My Big Fat Greek Life" in which she reprised her role from the popular film, along with appearances in "Damon," "The Tracy Ullman Show," "Ed," "Crossing Jordan," "Prince Charming," and "Gypsy."  She is also the recipient of 3 American Comedy Award nominations for several cable specials including her own "Andrea Martin Together" which also received a Cable Ace Award nomination for writing.

She has lent her voice to an impressive list of animated projects including "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius," "The Rugrats Movie," "The Simpsons," "Superman," and "Anastasia," among others.

Martin’s theatre credits include her one woman show "Nude, Nude, Totally Nude," (Drama Desk Award nomination), "My Favorite Year" (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards), "Young Frankenstein" (Tony nomination), "Candide" (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), "Oklahoma!" (Tony and Drama Desk nominations), "Exit the King" (Drama Desk Award nomination and Outer Critics Circle Award nomination), and "Fiddler on the Roof." She has been seen off-Broadway in "The Exonerated," "The Vagina Monologues," "Encores!," "Out of this World," and "The Merry Wives of Windsor and most recently in "On the Town".

Born in Portland, Maine, Martin is the proud mother of two sons, Jack and Joe, and lives in New York City.
